Photography is often considered to not be an art.  To be honest we don't even engage in the debate.  We simply get on with taking images that we think look great and that our clients like. 

What turns a good image into a great image?  Style!  Anything, Anyone Or Anywhere can be a great photo subject you just have to view it from a slightly different perspective.  Even a plug hole can make for a stunning image!!! 

By styling your shoot with some simply added extra's you can really change an image.  In this case we added a small curved stone bridge in the foreground to give some additional form to the image.  The stones had plenty of texture though the model was too stark.  The bridge broke it up.

What is style? 
Think about your audience for the image.  Add some flavour or style to the image that will peak their interest or make the image more relevent to them.

Choosing the right textured backdrops makes a big difference.  Do you want to create contrast with the subject or compliment.  For example a model in a weding dress - Using a red brick wall for a backdrop or a stunning country garden.

Stylists, Interior Designers, Artsists can all provide invaluable feedback, ideas and support for your shoot.

We use a lot of sources for inspration.  I rather like the Farrow and Ball colour guide for example!  Interiors magazine, Photography sharing websites, art websites and nature all rank highly in our inspration.  Where do you get your inspration from,.....
